  1. Choose "Flexible Squares" as your theme.
  2. Click on "Customize Your Theme" and go to the "Custom CSS" section.
  3. Select "no" in all three drop-down menus, and insert the code into the custom stylesheet box.
  4. For Plus accounts, ad placement is between entries.

This layout was supposed to have a fixed width, but lj and its css limits killed that. x_x; I hope you enjoy anyway! Remember to credit novaless if using. :]

I used this theme...and I have a question. Is there a way to get rid of the whitespace above the header I'm using? Thanks...it's a beautiful layout!!!
リリ☆papercolour on July 2nd, 2008 03:34 pm (UTC)
Look at this line in the .headerimage tag: margin: 20px auto 20px auto;

Change it to this: margin: auto auto 20px auto;

Thank you for using~ :D

Lovely layout. :) But how can I take it the whitespace off above the header? Cause it's not working if I change this margin: 20px auto 20px auto; to this margin: auto auto 20px auto;
What am I doing wrong?

Oh! Sorry, that was my mistake. XD
Leave the .headerimage margins (unless you want no margins at all), but change this line in the .body section "margin: 50px 0 0 0;" to "margin: 0" and it should work. :D

Oh and one more question. Where can I modify the link colors? (the links on the sidebar, the lj cut link and so on...) :)
リリ☆papercolour on July 7th, 2008 11:30 pm (UTC)
General links are changed here:

a {
color: #836F90;
text-decoration: none;

a:hover {
color: #A386B6;
text-decoration: none;

Comment links are changed here:

div.comments a, div.comments a:link, div.comments a:visited {
text-align: center;
font-size: 14px;
color: #6EA8B5;
text-decoration: none;
font-weight: bold;

div.comments a:hover {
color: #85C1CF;
text-decoration: none;

The links under userpics are changed here:

.userpicfriends a font {
color: #836F90;

.userpicfriends a:hover font {
color: #A386B6;

Sidebar and other links should follow the general link colors.

I hope this helps. :D

Just curious...I have this layout, and the entry titles used to be a small orange font, now they've turned into a huge grey font...any idea why? I tried reinstalling the code, but that didn't work.

Ahh, it's lj and its new changes on the theme. I need to go back and edit all my codes, but for now, you can copy everything from .subject into .subject a, .subject a:link, .subject a:visited and .subject a:hover, replacing what was there before. Hopefully this should work. :|

Lovely! I'm going to use this (with credit of course) as my placeholder until I get a new header image.

Now, once I have a new header image, can I use it with this? I'd really like to keep this!
LILI ★: jonghyun; talk to me.encontre on December 16th, 2008 01:59 am (UTC)
Of course~ I'm going to do a little edit on all my codes because lj recently turned the subjects into links, messing up a lot of my layouts. Be sure to check back in a few days for an updated code. :)

awesome! im using for my lj community.

but how can i add a banner image for the header?

i want to place my banner in the middle ontop

thanks xx
LILI ★encontre on January 13th, 2009 02:09 am (UTC)
You can add a banner image by inserting your picture url into the line background-image: url(); of the .headerimage section. Be sure to adjust the height and width according to your picture. Also, if you add background-position: top center; to .headerimage, it should place your image in the center.

I hope this helps? :D
